Is My New R5-7600X Running Too Hot?

Hey everyone! I just upgraded my PC from an i5-9400f to an R5-7600X. After installing drivers and testing out the games I usually play, I've noticed a big boost in FPS and I can even run more background apps at the same time. However, I'm seeing CPU temperatures between 70 to 85°C, and it hit 90°C for a brief moment while loading a game. My old i5 would max out at 64°C. Is this normal for the R5-7600X to run at these temperatures? I've come across various opinions online, and I'm looking for some definite answers here. I've got a decent air cooler and I'm currently on stock settings since it's only a few hours old. Is my CPU going to be okay?

Your R5-7600X won't throttle performance until it hits around 95°C, so a brief spike to 90°C isn't alarming. It’s built to run hot for performance. What cooler are you using?

I went with the Deepcool Ak400 because it’s a solid air cooler without all the flashy RGB. Not sure how it stacks up against my old Coolermaster, though.

You should be excited! I have the same CPU, and it handles everything like a champ. I can video call while gaming or streaming without any hiccups. It's seriously impressive!
