Hey everyone! I'm currently stuck with an older setup that includes a GTX 970 and an i7-6700k. I've been planning a full upgrade since late 2020 but got frustrated with the GPU prices and eventually decided to hold off. Now that things are looking up again, I'm thinking about building a new PC. I bought a Corsair RMx Series RM750x power supply which is still in the box, and I'm wondering if I can use it with a new build. I'm eyeing a 9070xt for the GPU, but I'm unsure of compatibility with newer components and connectors since this is my first build. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Absolutely, your PSU is fine! It's a reliable model. Just make sure not to daisy chain your cables and keep an eye on your GPU's power demands; you'll be fine.
Yes, you'll be able to use that PSU without issue. It has enough wattage for the RX 9070xt, and it should come with an adapter for the newer connectors. Plus, I recommend checking out the AM5 platform for your CPU choice.
Thanks for the tip! I'm diving into the latest hardware info, especially for AM5, as I plan my build.
You're good to go! The RM750x is a top-tier PSU with a solid 10-year warranty. You can definitely use it in your new build, so no worries there until at least 2030!
Thanks for the reassurance! I'm aiming to pick components that will last a long time, so this helps.
Got it! I'm planning to keep things within limits. Now I just have to decide on the rest of the parts.
