Is My PC Build a Good Value for Gaming?

I'm trying to put together a new PC to achieve 240hz gaming at 1080p for games like Valorant, Fortnite, and Marvel Rivals. My budget is around £700, but I'm open to going a bit cheaper if possible. Right now, I have a 5600xt and an i5 10400f with 16GB (2x8GB) of 2666MHz RAM, but I'm facing issues with performance in Rivals. Here's my proposed build: [https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/fXTPqH](https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/fXTPqH). I'd appreciate any suggestions or advice on whether this parts list is worth the price!

To get the best bang for your buck, consider switching to a 9060xt 8GB costing around £240. If you can save a bit longer, getting a 16GB version for about £315 would offer better long-term performance and resale value. I feel like £275 is on the high side for that part. Everything else in your build seems solid, but I think you might find a better case for less money.

What about something like the Powercolour Reaper? And if you can cut down a bit on the case, you could reinvest that into a better GPU. Do you think AM4 will hold up for a few years?

Check out this alternative build: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Zk8bgn. Might give you some extra options!

I think 8GB of VRAM may not be enough for consistent performance. Using your current motherboard, it might be a good move to upgrade your CPU and get a used 12GB GPU—something like a 6700XT might suit your needs well.

I'm open to considering a used GPU, but I need to keep my old setup intact, so I can't repurpose current components.
