I finally managed to gather enough budget for a decent gaming PC (around €800-1000). My main goals are 1080p gaming and the occasional streaming on my TV. I did my best to piece together a solid setup, and I'd appreciate some feedback:
- Check out this build: https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/WpksJw
- And here's an alternative build with DDR5, though it costs more: https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/FsKxYX
I'm curious about which setup will be better in the long run. I suspect the second build might offer more upgrade options. Looking forward to your advice, my honorable friends!

The first build looks pretty solid for 1080p gaming! You're on the right track with that one.
You don't really need that many fans. A front fan might help, but the rear one it comes with will generally be enough. Filling all the slots isn’t necessary at all.
Yeah, that does seem excessive. Thanks for the tip!
Just a heads-up: 256GB of storage won't be sufficient for gaming. Unless you have an extra drive from your old PC, I’d recommend at least 512GB, ideally going for 1TB.
True, I have a 1TB drive from my old setup, so I'll use that for the OS and shader cache.
If your budget allows, consider swapping the ARC B580 for something like an RX 7600 XT. I tweaked your list here: https://fr.pcpartpicker.com/list/dCmpbp. It’s only a bit more expensive, but you'll get better performance and more VRAM!
Honestly, I need to think it over. If I’m going close to €1000, wouldn’t it make sense to opt for DDR5 since I have a 1080p 60Hz display?

So, you're saying the second build isn’t worth the extra cost?
