Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a PC specifically for video editing using software like Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve, along with some light gaming on the side. I'm hoping to get some insights on whether any parts of my build might be bottlenecking the overall performance. Here are my current specs:

- CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 265K
- GPU: RTX 3070 (pre-owned)
- RAM: 32GB DDR5 7000 MT/s ($240 USD)
- Storage: Samsung 990 Pro 4TB NVMe
- PSU: MSI MAG A850GL (850W)
- Motherboard: still deciding
- Cooler: still deciding
- Case: still deciding

From what I see, your specs look pretty solid as they are! You might want to consider upgrading to a 1000W PSU for some future-proofing. Your 3070 is great, but if you think about getting an upgrade like the 4080 or 7900 XT in the future, you'll want a PSU that can handle it without needing a swap later on. Overall, you should have a great build if you finish it out well!

Yeah, the GPU is technically bottlenecking the CPU to some extent, but honestly, it’s not something to worry about too much since you'll want to maximize the use of the GPU. A lot of people throw around the term 'bottleneck' without realizing it's not always relevant, especially with modern builds like yours.

The best way to check for bottlenecking is to run some demanding tasks and observe the usage of each component. If you notice one part reaching 100% usage while others are sitting lower, then you might have a bottleneck issue. Just give it a try and see what the numbers say!

Honestly, you shouldn't stress too much about bottlenecks. There will always be a component that gets fully utilized in different scenarios. It’s nearly impossible to have a build with absolutely no bottlenecks since it varies by workload and application.
