I recently updated my build to include a 9700X. Here are the details:

- Case: Montech XR, ATX Midtower, with support for a 360mm radiator and 3 1200mm fans
- RAM: cl30 6000 DDR5 from Gskill Ripjaws S5
- Storage: Samsung 990 Pro SSD, 1TB, PCIe 4.0, M.2 2280
- CPU: Core Ultra 9700X
- Power Supply: MSI MPG PCIe 5, fully modular, 850W
- GPU: ASRock Steel Legend 9070XT
- Motherboard: MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi

The total cost is CAD 2113.92, and I need to keep the budget under CAD 2500. Are there any recommendations for changes or additions that fit within that budget? Thanks!

You can check your entire build on pcpartpicker.com to confirm compatibility and pricing, making it easier to see if all parts work together.

The MSI B650 Gaming Plus WiFi is indeed for AM5 sockets. For the 9700X, you'll need an Intel socket, specifically LGA 1851. A quick visit to pcpartpicker.com will help you sort through compatible options.

Is there really an AM4 B650 motherboard? Just trying to understand the options.
