Is My PC Build Good Enough for 4K Gaming?

I'm currently building a PC and I'm curious if my setup will be sufficient for playing games in 4K resolution. I decided not to include an X3D CPU in my configuration, and I'm considering a graphics card priced at around $800 on Amazon, or possibly the 9070 XT for the same price. What do you guys recommend? Here's my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/t4pBsp

While an X3D CPU isn’t essential, both graphics cards you've mentioned seem fine for 4K gaming. Personally, I would lean toward a 5080 if you're really focused on 4K performance, but the 9070 XT is also a solid choice. Just keep in mind that AMD tends to phase out driver support for their older cards faster than Nvidia does.

What frame rate are you hoping to achieve with 4K, and which games do you plan to play? Are you open to using upscaling technology? That can make a big difference in your gaming experience!

Your setup seems pretty solid overall! I have a similar build with a 5070 Ti and I’m getting decent frame rates in 4K on less demanding games. Just remember, 4K gaming really puts a strain on the GPU, so make sure you have a strong one!

I went with the 9070 XT, but I'm having some troubles, like instability and odd sound issues. In hindsight, I might have chosen the 5070 Ti instead. I built my setup mainly for games on UE5, and that's where I’ve noticed performance dips.

You might want to reconsider that motherboard. A good quality B650 or B850 board could save you some money while being just as effective. Also, there's definitely more affordable CPU coolers out there that will do the job without burning a hole in your pocket.
