I'm looking for advice on my intended PC build as I'm primarily playing MMOs, the occasional shooter, and games like EVE Online and League. Along with gaming, I often have multiple Excel files and Zoom calls open for work. I also enjoy watching YouTube videos and streaming with friends. While I wish to eventually game at 4K, I'm currently fine with 1080p due to my budget of $1400. I live in Massachusetts and can drive to a MicroCenter if needed. Here's my current part list: [PCPartPicker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QvwcKq). The total cost is about $1318.68. Any suggestions on whether this build is optimal and cost-effective?

Honestly, I respect your choice of a budget case! Sometimes, it's all about functionality. That said, make sure it has enough airflow and space for upgrades later on. As for whether it can handle 4K gaming—keep your expectations in check, but with the right components, it should manage pretty well!
You really don't need a 14TB hard drive for your tasks. It's overkill, honestly. For general gaming and Excel work, a 2TB SSD would be much more efficient. Also, you could get by with 32GB of RAM instead of 64GB—most gaming and work applications won't hit that limit. Check out my build suggestion that should still fit within your budget and provides better performance.
Totally agree, 2TB is plenty! Plus, having an SSD will really speed things up for games and everyday tasks.
Your build looks solid, but I'd suggest considering a better GPU for your budget. With around $1400, you could get a more powerful graphics card that would really enhance your gaming experience. Plus, switching from the 7700X to the Ryzen 7700 can save you some cash. I've seen good bundle deals that help you save even more. Just something to think about!
Yeah, I looked into some MSI deals too! Seems like a smart move to optimize your spending.
Thanks for the tip! Is this case you've suggested manageable for upgrades? Just starting out!
