Hey everyone! I recently built my first PC without any prior experience, but I'm feeling a bit unsure about whether I've made the right choices. I planned on spending around €1000 to €1300, but my current build totals €1500, which is more than I wanted to spend. I'm looking for suggestions on how I might lower the cost while still keeping a good-quality setup, or if there's a better build I should consider. Here are the specs I've chosen:
- **Motherboard**: Asus TUF GAMING B650-E WIFI
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X
- **CPU Cooler**: NZXT Kraken Plus 240 RGB
- **Video Card**: ASRock Radeon RX 7700 XT Challenger
- **RAM**: G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 7200
- **Power Supply**: be quiet! Power Zone 2 750W
- **SSD**: Samsung 990 EVO 1TB
- **Case**: NZXT H510 Flow
I'm still not completely sure if this setup is even good, so any insights would be appreciated!

For the RAM, definitely aim for 6000 CL30. It’s generally more efficient for Ryzen processors than the 7200 you’ve chosen, which is likely to be slower in practice. Just focus on getting the best value you can!
You could definitely cut costs by switching to a cheaper air cooler like the Peerless Assassin instead of the NZXT AIO you picked. It's pretty overkill for the Ryzen 5 7600X, and you’ll save some bucks. Also, consider going for 6000MT/s RAM instead of the 7200, as it’ll perform better with your CPU without needing much setup.
If you're still attached to that case and want aesthetics, keep it, but make sure it's not bloating your budget too much. Maybe look into more affordable options like the Montech XR case—it’s not too pricey and still looks great!
If you're looking to make some changes, try switching the CPU to a Ryzen 5 7500F or even a non-X version of the 7600. They perform similarly and can save you some cash. For the GPU, the 9060 XT is a solid alternative to the 7700 XT, plus it packs more VRAM!
Great suggestion! I’ve heard that going with the cheaper CPUs can save quite a bit with very little loss in performance.
Yeah, I agree! The Ryzen 5 7600X really doesn't need that fancy cooler. An air cooler will do just fine and help you save money.
