Hey everyone! I'm putting together my first-ever PC and I've done quite a bit of research to compile the components. I'll mainly be using this for a 4-year Computer Science program at college, and I plan to run a Linux VM alongside Windows pretty often, so I don't expect to do much gaming. I'd love some feedback on the part list I've put together:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700
- CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock 3
- Motherboard: MSI Pro B650-S Wi-Fi
- RAM: Patriot DIMM 32 GB DDR5-6000 (2x 16 GB) CL30-40-40-76 at 6000 MHz
- GPU: ASUS Radeon RX 7600 DUAL EVO OC
- SSD1: Samsung 990 Pro 1 TB
- SSD2: Crucial T500 1 TB
- PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 12 750W
- Case: Fractal Design Pop Air Black TG Clear Tint, tower case
What do you think of this build?

You might want to rethink the GPU if gaming isn't part of your plan. Depending on what you're doing, you could save some cash by going without one. Same goes for the 6000MHz RAM and the 750W PSU; those might be more than you need. Maybe consider investing in a more powerful CPU instead instead?
I actually want the GPU for rendering visuals and possibly some machine learning tasks. As for the RAM, I read that CL30 is recommended for performance, and this was the best price I found.
