I'm gearing up to build a new PC after six years and I'd love some feedback on my chosen components. I'm planning to use the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D as my CPU, paired with an RTX 5070 GPU. Here's a rundown of the parts I've selected:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- **Motherboard**: MSI PRO B850M-P WIFI Micro ATX AM5
- **Storage**: Western Digital WD_BLACK 4 TB 3.5" HDD
- **Video Card**: Asus PRIME OC GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB
- **Case**: Lian Li Lancool 207 Digital ATX Mid Tower
- **Power Supply**: Corsair RM850x 850 W Fully Modular
The total comes to about $1735.80. Are these components well-chosen for my build, or should I make any adjustments?

If you're near a Microcenter, check out their bundles. They often have good deals, especially on RAM right now. What's your primary use for the PC? And why 4TB of storage? You might want to rethink that and invest part of it into a 1TB SSD for the operating system instead.
I noticed you have a lot of good components, but don't forget the SSD! It's surprising not to see one on your list—it's really essential for the OS and faster access times. Also, consider if you need that much HDD storage; maybe a smaller HDD and a larger SSD would work better.
Your build looks pretty solid, but I'd highly recommend adding an SSD for your primary storage. An SSD will significantly speed up boot times and overall performance compared to just using an HDD for your main drive. It's definitely worth the investment!

I already have an SSD from my old build, so I didn't list that. Just looking to expand my storage with the HDD!
