Is My PC Getting Bottlenecked?

I recently upgraded my setup with a GTX 1650 Super, and I have 16GB of RAM paired with an i7-2700K CPU along with a 1TB hard drive. I'm curious about how well my PC is handling things and whether it's bottlenecked. I also want to know if switching to an SSD would improve performance since I've heard that my current setup is quite outdated. Any advice on checking bottlenecking and potential upgrades would be appreciated!

If you have the Nvidia drivers, you can set up on-screen performance stats by pressing Alt-Z. From there, you can enable CPU and GPU usage stats and check which one is maxing out while you play. That’ll give you a clearer idea of what's getting bottlenecked!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely try that to see where the bottleneck occurs.

You should check your GPU utilization while gaming. Honestly, the 1650 Super is a budget card, so if there is any bottlenecking, upgrading components can get pricey, especially if you need a new motherboard or RAM too. Also, your hard drive is probably slowing you down—booting from an SSD would make a big difference!

With your setup, both the CPU and GPU are pretty slow by today's standards. Performance will heavily depend on the games you’re playing and the graphics settings. If you can save up, consider getting an R5 3600, a B450 motherboard, and an SSD for faster load times. That would help a lot!
