I'm putting together my first PC build in a decade since my old machine has finally bitten the dust. I've lost touch with the latest components, so I'm hoping you all can help me out. My budget is €2000, and I've gone slightly over at €2100, but it's still manageable. Here's what I'm looking at:
- ZOTAC GeForce RTX 5060 Ti Twin Edge OC 16GB White Edition (I prefer NVIDIA due to some past overheating issues with Radeon cards)
- Intel Core Ultra 7 265K
- GIGABYTE Z890 Eagle
- Kingston Fury DIMM 32 GB DDR5-6400 (2x 16 GB)
- Be quiet! Straight Power 12 Platinum 1200W
- WD Black SN850X NVMe SSD 4 TB
I feel like the WD Black SSD should be pretty fast, but I'm thinking about adding a slower 250GB WD Green M.2 for the OS. Not sure if that's a smart move or if it might cause some bottlenecking. Any advice?

Why are you opting for a slower WD Green drive for your OS? The 4TB WD Black has plenty of space for everything, and I found my setup to perform faster since I moved my OS to a better SSD. Honestly makes a difference in speed!
Your CPU is a bit of an overkill for that GPU, and the power supply could be dialed down to 1000W. You might also want to consider switching to a Z790 motherboard unless you have to use the features on the Z890. Also, I wouldn’t recommend putting Windows on that slower drive; it could slow things down a bit.
Totally agree! It’s best to go with the motherboard that suits your needs without overspending. B860 could save you some cash!
If you're okay with AMD, they've got some power-efficient options like the 9070 and 9060. Don’t worry too much about temperatures; they’re manageable. Good luck!
What are you planning to do with this PC? A 1200W power supply seems like overkill for your setup, you might not need all that power unless you're planning on heavy gaming or overclocking.

Just to clarify, Z790 is for the older socket LGA 1700, not LGA 1851. B860 is actually what you might be looking for if you want something non-overclockable.
