Is My PC Parts List Solid?

I put together a parts list for my PC build using PCPartPicker, and I'd love some feedback on it: [my parts list](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DfVdTM). The prices I've included are the best deals I can get right now, factoring in combo specials and free gifts. I haven't selected a graphics card yet because I'm planning to buy one later when the prices drop. Right now, I'm just looking for advice on whether I could find better deals or if any components in my list are subpar and should be swapped out. Any insights would be super helpful!

Your list looks okay overall, but I'm noticing there's no GPU included. Also, the power supply seems a bit overkill. The SSD might not give you the best performance, so you might want to consider better options.

I planned to pick a graphics card later when prices get better. I thought a 1050-watt PSU would help future-proof my setup and let me choose any GPU I want down the line.

What’s the primary purpose of this build? Knowing if it’s mainly for gaming or other tasks can help suggest better components.

I’m mainly gaming, but I’ll also be doing some engineering tasks like CAD.
