Hey there! I just built my first PC yesterday, and while I was gaming on Rust, I noticed something concerning. The power cord connected to my PSU gets way too hot to touch, to the point where I thought I burned myself on it. This happens during any power-heavy games. I have a 650W Bronze PSU and the cord shows a rating of 250V. I'm not sure if the issue could be my outlet not supplying enough power or if I need a different PSU cord. I live in Canada, where the standard voltage is 120V. Any advice on this?

That definitely sounds concerning! While it’s normal for a power cable to get warm during use, it shouldn't become too hot to touch. First, double-check that the cord is securely plugged into the PSU. Also, pay attention to which end of the cable is heating up more: is it the wall side or the PSU side? You might want to consider getting a heavier-duty power cord if it continues to be an issue. The amperage is what’s really important here.
Is this the original cord that came with the PSU or just one you found? If it's not the original, that could definitely be part of the problem. It's best to use cables that are specifically designed for your PSU to ensure everything works safely. If it came with the prebuilt PC from your friend, that might be what’s causing the overheating.
Yeah, it was the cord that came with the prebuilt from my friend.

All of it gets hot! I don't know what to do!
