Is My PC Still Good for Gaming?

Hey everyone! I've got an i9-9900 with 32 GB of DDR4 RAM at 3600 MHz and an RTX 2060. I know my GPU is starting to show its age and might be a bit of a bottleneck, especially with the powerful CPU I have. I'm trying to decide whether I should go for a complete new build or just replace my GPU while keeping the motherboard, CPU, and RAM. What do you all think?

If you're looking for a quick performance fix, I recommend upgrading to an RTX 3080; it'll give you a great boost. You could also look at the RTX 5070 or RX 9070 if you're playing at higher resolutions like 1440p or 4K.

Honestly, unless there's a specific game you really want to play that your current setup can’t handle, there's no urgent need to upgrade. Just swapping out the GPU could be enough. A newer graphics card will definitely give you a boost. I'm using an i5-9600K paired with an RX 5700 XT, and it runs fine for me at 1440p.

Your build is still solid! You should be able to handle 1080p gaming on medium settings pretty well. If you're not hitting any major performance issues with the games you want to play, you might not even need an upgrade just yet.

Your system is viable, though you'll need to adjust settings to get the best performance out of the latest AAA titles. Upgrading your GPU is a good move, but keep in mind that in CPU-heavy games, you might hit a cap with your current CPU. If you choose to upgrade the CPU later on, consider something like an i5 13600K so you can still use your DDR4 RAM.

A complete replacement or waiting for better prices could be wise. I'm running a 9900K with a 3070Ti, and while it performs well at 1440p, my CPU bottlenecks sometimes. Maybe consider a second-hand GPU for a smoother transition instead of a whole new build.
