I'm not really tech-savvy and got my PC primarily for work. I've got about five games installed, but I've been having issues with performance lately. For instance, when I run War Thunder, my computer crashes after just 1-2 games, and it starts overheating after just 5-8 minutes of playtime. Here are my specs:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core 3.60 GHz
- Installed RAM: 16.0 GB
- Storage: 466 GB SSD (Samsung SSD 980 500GB)
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti (8 GB)
Can anyone tell me if my PC is outdated and what I can do to fix this?

Your specs should still be fine for War Thunder. If it’s crashing, you might want to check if it’s overheating. A local PC repair shop could help if you're unsure about how to fix it yourself.
Yeah, it sounds like your PC is getting a bit old. It's not completely obsolete, but it may need some maintenance. Try reinstalling Windows, replacing the thermal paste, or even just checking your components. The overheating could be from dust buildup or failing hardware like memory.
For sure, it’s outdated but that doesn't mean it should crash like that. Have you cleaned it recently? Dust buildup can cause overheating issues. Also, consider reapplying thermal paste on the CPU if you haven’t done that in a while.
Your PC is a bit old, but I think overheating is causing your crashes. Try using a temperature monitoring tool like HWinfo64 when you game. Make sure your CPU and GPU temperatures are in check; if they go too high, that can lead to crashes.
If you want a noticeable performance boost, upgrading to a 5000 series AMD CPU could help. A new GPU would also make a difference if you're looking to improve your gameplay. 1080p at decent settings should still be achievable with some upgrades.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check the temperatures next time I game.
