I'm not very tech-savvy and mainly use my PC for work, but I also have a few games on it, especially War Thunder. Recently, after playing for just 1-2 games, my whole PC crashes, and I notice it getting warm after about 5-8 minutes of gameplay. Here are my specs:
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core, 3.60 GHz
- RAM: 16.0 GB
- Storage: 466 GB SSD (Samsung SSD 980)
- Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti (8 GB)
Can someone help me figure out if my PC is outdated or if there's something else causing these issues?

It's not completely obsolete, but definitely showing its age. If you're facing heat issues, ensure you've cleaned everything recently. Also, updating the BIOS and checking your RAM with Memtest86 might help. It could be an easy fix!
If you're looking for better performance, upgrading to a newer AMD processor or GPU could give you a noticeable boost. The Ryzen 5000 series is quite good for gaming!
True! But before jumping into upgrades, make sure the current hardware is in top shape. A good clean can sometimes work wonders.
Yeah, it’s an older setup, but it shouldn’t be crashing like that. It sounds like it might be overheating. You should definitely consider cleaning out the dust inside your PC, and maybe reapplying thermal paste on your CPU. Also, check if your components are getting too hot while gaming.
Good point! I'd also recommend using an app to monitor the temperatures while you're playing. If they're too high, that's likely your culprit.
Your PC is a bit outdated but should handle War Thunder fine. Try taking it to a local repair shop for a proper check-up, as it could just be overheating.
Yes! This could save you a lot of headaches. Sometimes just having a professional look it over makes a huge difference.
It’s getting old, but it might just need some upkeep. Crashing during games usually means it’s overheating or has hardware issues. Consider redoing the thermal paste and checking for dust buildup.
Exactly! A good cleaning and thermal repasting can extend the life of older machines significantly.
Solid advice! And don’t forget to clean the fans; they can gather dust pretty quickly.
