Is My PC Upgrade a Good Choice?

I'm considering a new PC build and want to upgrade from my current setup: GTX 1660, i5-10400, and 16GB of RAM. I'm looking at getting a GeForce RTX 5070 with 12GB GDDR7, 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5/5200mhz Corsair Vengeance RAM, and an Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor 285 with 24 cores. I'm not aiming for top-end gaming, but for an overall budget of £2,100, I'd love to know if these parts will work well together and if this is a solid upgrade for casual gaming.

Upgrading to an RTX 5070 seems a bit off for a build costing over £2k. I'd suggest going for the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT instead, and stick with 32GB RAM. AMD processors, like the 9800X3D or even the 7800X3D, will give you better performance compared to Intel.

For casual gaming, you really can’t go wrong with a good GPU, but I think an RTX 5070 is a bit weak for such a high-end CPU. Look into the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT; you'd get a better balance for a gaming setup.

Hell yes! That kind of setup would definitely give you a good gaming experience.

I agree with the others. If you're going to spend that much on a CPU, you really should consider getting the 9800X3D instead. Intel doesn't perform well for gaming right now. Plus, the RTX 5070 doesn't quite match the high-end CPU you're looking at. Maybe try a less expensive CPU, like the 9700X, and invest in a better GPU, like the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT to get more performance for your money.

Thanks for the advice! I'll look into those options.

Honestly, you might want to rethink that Intel CPU choice. AMD processors are currently where you should be spending your budget, especially if you're aiming for decent gaming performance. Also, 64GB of RAM is overkill for casual gaming; 32GB will do just fine.
