Is My Power Supply Failing?

Hey everyone, my power supply unit started making a weird grinding noise, so I took some time to clean it up a bit. After that, the noise went away, but now my computer is generating a really heavy bass sound and feels like it's vibrating. It honestly sounds like a mini diesel engine running! I'm pretty sure it's my power supply. Do you think it's safe to keep using it like this while I need to get some schoolwork done, or am I in trouble?

It sounds like your PSU might just need a deeper clean. When a fan gets dirty, especially if it's been a while, it can create odd sounds and vibrations. A good tip is to take apart your PC every few months and clean it thoroughly. Dust buildup can throw the fans out of balance, leading to grinding noises and even affecting performance. I would definitely check and clean all your fans since they can all get dusty, not just the PSU fan.

I usually clean my PC regularly, but I may have neglected my PSU fan for a few years. I realized that dust can build up really quickly, especially in spots that are hard to reach. It's a good reminder to pay attention to every part of your setup. I just cleaned out every other fan, and they were spotless!
