Is My RAM Compatible With My Ryzen 7 9800X3D?

I bought some RAM that I thought would work with my Ryzen 7 AM5 processor, but now I'm worried. The product description said it was compatible, but the packaging only mentions compatibility with 9000 series chips. I specifically purchased the Crucial Pro Overclocking 32GB (2x16) 6000mhz CL36 for my Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Am I in trouble here?

I feel your pain. It's definitely weird when packaging claims compatibility but then doesn't specify everything accurately. The RAM you picked should work, just make sure to check that your motherboard has the latest BIOS update to avoid any hiccups.

Yeah, it's frustrating how they do that. Just because it says 'AMD 9800X3D ready' doesn’t mean much; as long as it’s an AM5 board, it should fit. Just watch out for older BIOS versions that might not fully support the latest chips, though!

You're all good! This seems more like a marketing thing than a real compatibility issue. Your RAM should work just fine with your CPU.
