I accidentally bought two different RAM modules: the Kingston KCP556US6-8 and the Kingston KVR56U46BS6-8. Apart from the names, both are rated at 5600MHz, 1.1V, and CL46. I'm wondering if I should sell one and get a matching set instead. My motherboard is an ASUS TUF B850M, and I'm using a Ryzen 5 7600X processor.

If you're thinking of reselling, it might be worth waiting a few months. RAM prices can fluctuate greatly, and you might get a better price when others are short on options.
Mixing RAM kits can be tricky and might lead to system boot failures, especially on AMD setups. Just keep in mind that if something goes wrong, you can always remove one of the modules and still use your system without issues.
You can simply try plugging them in together and see if they work at the rated 5600MHz speed. If they're incompatible, your PC just won't boot, so there's no risk of damage.

But that won't cause any permanent damage, right? Worst case, I can just remove one of the RAMs if it doesn't work?
