Is my RAM running at the correct speed?

I recently installed 32GB of DDR4 RAM, which is rated at 3200 MT/s, but it's currently running at 2400 MT/s. I have XMP enabled, but it seems like the speed isn't increasing. Should I adjust the settings in my BIOS to try to increase the speed, or is there something else I should consider?

Did you buy a single kit with all four sticks, or did you end up mixing two kits? If they weren't made as one single kit, they might not play nicely together. It’s not uncommon for mixed kits to fall back on lower speeds. Looks like your setup couldn't handle the XMP profile, which explains why it's showing 2400 MT/s instead.

I did mix two kits… should I turn XMP off and return one of the kits?

Running four RAM sticks can make it trickier to achieve stable speeds compared to just two sticks. So, it might be a bit of a gamble with stability at that lower speed. Just something to keep in mind!
