Hey everyone! I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600X and thinking about upgrading my GPU from an RX 580 4GB to an RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. My setup features a 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor. I mainly play single-player, story-driven AAA games, with a bit of competitive gaming on the side. Do you think the 5600X can keep up with the RTX 5060 Ti at ultrawide 1440p? Will it bottleneck in any way, or is this a worthwhile upgrade? Also, just so you know, the 9060 XT 16GB is similarly priced to the 5060 Ti around here. Thanks for your thoughts!

I wouldn't pick a 5060 Ti for 3440x1440 myself, but if you’ve checked out the benchmarks for the games you play and you're happy with them, then go for it! Just keep in mind you can always upgrade the CPU later if needed.

Honestly, I wouldn’t choose the 9060 XT over the 5060 Ti at the same price. Your CPU is good enough, and if you feel the need to upgrade later, you can go for something like the 5800X3D, which is a powerhouse!

Totally agree! I’ve been Team Red for a while but Nvidia's DLSS is outshining FSR so far, especially when prices are similar. I'd lean towards Nvidia too.

You shouldn't notice any significant bottleneck with that setup.

Yeah, your 5600X should be fine. At higher resolutions, the CPU becomes less of a factor, so you might see a slight bottleneck in some games, but overall it shouldn't be a major issue. Just enjoy the upgrade!

Yes, your CPU will definitely hold up well with that GPU.
