Is My Upgrade Plan for the AMD Setup Reasonable?

I'm considering an upgrade for my current gaming rig and I'd love some feedback. Here's what I've got now:

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- **GPU**: ASUS GTX 1660 Super 6GB
- **Motherboard**: MSI B450M Pro VDH Max
- **RAM**: Crucial Ballistix 16GB DDR4-3200 (2x8GB)
- **PSU**: Thermaltake Smart BX1 650W 80+ Bronze
- **Storage**: Silicon Power 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD
- **Case**: Cougar MX 330G Mid Tower

I'm thinking of upgrading to:

- **CPU**: Ryzen 5 5600XT (~$175)
- **GPU**: RTX 5060 Ti 16GB (~$490)
- **Storage**: Adding a 1TB SATA SSD (~$70)

This could likely be my last major upgrade on the AM4 platform. The RTX 5060 Ti should manage 4K gaming decently with DLSS 4, and I want to make the most out of my current motherboard, RAM, and PSU before I do a complete platform overhaul.

Here are the questions I have:
- Will my 650W Bronze PSU handle this setup safely?
- Are there any better GPU options in this price range for 4K gaming?
- Should I just save up for a full platform upgrade instead?

My budget is roughly $700-800. I've been using this build since 2020, and while it's been great, it's showing its age with new titles at 4K. Thanks for any advice!

I think your upgrade path is solid! I started with a similar setup and eventually moved to AM5, but your plan should give you a nice boost. That said, if you can hold off a bit, it might be worth it. Upgrading takes time, so see how urgent your needs are. If you need this upgrade right away, go for it!
