Hey everyone! I used my USB stick for my high school graduation presentation, and I've noticed that when I plugged it into the interactive whiteboard, it seemed to generate a bunch of files on the USB. I ran an antivirus scan and didn't find anything suspicious, but I still want to be extra cautious and formatted the USB drive using fast format. After that, I ran another scan and it said that three files were still analyzed. I'm feeling a bit paranoid about it and was hoping someone could explain why that might be and if I'm safe since I didn't actually open any folders. Thanks for your help!

If you formatted the USB, the files that were found are probably harmless hidden files that Windows generates after formatting. They shouldn't pose any threat, so there's nothing to worry about. Just continue using your USB as normal!
You're in the clear! A lot of interactive whiteboards can create files on your USB just like Windows does when you plug it in. Once you formatted the drive, those three files are most likely hidden system files created by your OS, possibly related to the recycle bin or system restore. Just delete them if you want, and you should be good to go!
Thanks a lot, so now I'm going to finally install Linux completely safely!!!
Thanks a lot man!
