Hey everyone, my Asus CX5601 got a bit wet and it seemed like it was completely dead at first, not charging or anything. I took it apart, removed the battery, and let it dry with a fan, and now it charges and works somewhat. The problem is, the C, D, E keys, and both CTRL keys are acting weird; they don't respond at first tap, and sometimes the shortcuts like CTRL+A or CTRL+C do strange things instead of what they should. Is it completely damaged, or might it get better as it dries out more? Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, I think it might be cooked. Liquid damage isn't something that just goes away on its own. You might want to look into getting a new one, especially since Chromebooks are kind of designed to be disposable.
You know what? You aren’t totally lost yet, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. If it's been a few years and it's showing signs like this, you might be better off investing in a new unit soon. Just a heads up!
It sounds like there might still be some moisture interfering with those keys. Water can mess with the circuits, so unless something shorted out, you might still have a chance! But if it shorted, then those keys are likely done for.
