Hey everyone! I want to build an affordable gaming PC for my brother mainly to play League of Legends while he's in prison until mid-November. I'm wondering if I should grab the components now or hold off a bit? I'm worried about inflation making prices go up here in Austria. What do you think?

Prices can be pretty unpredictable, so I recommend buying parts when you spot good deals. It’s usually better to snag them than risk paying more later!
For League of Legends, you don't need an extremely powerful rig. With €600, you can build a decent setup that runs smoothly. I just checked some parts on Amazon.de and here’s a breakdown:
- AMD Radeon RX 7600 for €237
- Crucial 500GB SSD for €38
- Oversteel gaming case for €41
- Thermaltake 650W power supply for €56
- 16GB DDR4 RAM for €52
- GIGABYTE H610M motherboard for €63
- Intel Core i3-14100F for €85
This totals €570, which should work perfectly for League and other games your brother might want to try!
You can definitely build a solid gaming PC for around €600 for League of Legends! For example, look for an Intel i5-3300 or AMD Ryzen 3-1200 with 4GB RAM and any DirectX 11 GPU like the NVIDIA 560 or Radeon HD 6950. SSDs are reasonably priced these days, so you should be fine with storage too. Check out PCPartPicker to find the best deals and see if you can maybe upgrade some parts without breaking the bank!
Thanks! I actually ordered everything now because I feel like prices might rise in the next couple of months.

You can often find good pre-owned PCs that run League of Legends for cheap, even in recycling shops! Just think about tossing in a basic $10 graphics card if you need an upgrade.
