I'm considering building a PC with the following specs: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16G, MSI MAG A1000GLS PCIe 5 Power Supply, Lexar LD5U16G56C46ST-BGS 16GB DDR5, MSI B850M Gaming Plus WiFi, Western Digital WD_BLACK SN850X 1TB, and Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM008 2 TB. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to go ahead and buy the components now or if I should hold off for a bit. I'm also considering gradually buying the parts over the year if prices drop but need advice on what to start with.

If you really need the upgrade, prices likely won't drop in the next year. However, if you can wait, then it might be worth holding off for a bit longer to see if you can get some better deals. But I get that waiting is hard! Maybe start with the essentials and chip away at it over time?
That’s my plan too! I was thinking of getting the storage and RAM first and then the GPU.
Check out some of the alternatives for your power supply. A model with lower wattage can still provide great performance and save you some cash. It's better to buy all the parts at once if possible, though, so you can deal with any faulty items easily. Also, consider larger storage—2TB drives tend to be a poor value, so maybe aim for something bigger if you can!
Keep your eyes peeled for prebuilt options too. Sometimes you can snag a good deal, and then you can swap out the parts you want. Just be cautious to avoid proprietary models to get the best upgrade potential!
I’d recommend going with 32GB of RAM if you can swing it. It’s a great future-proofing move, even if it’s a bit pricier right now.
Yeah, I’m getting 2x16GB myself—seems like a solid choice!

Yeah, I'm thinking the same. I'm not in a rush but it would definitely be a nice upgrade!
