I'm currently building a new PC and I have a few questions regarding the compatibility of my components. My GPU is the Speedster 7900XTX, which uses PCIe 4.0. I'm wondering if this will cause any issues with the build, especially since my CPU is the 9950x3d with a Noctua NH-D15 G2 cooler. Here's a quick rundown of my setup:
- GPU: Speedster 7900XTX
- CPU: 9950x3d with Noctua NH-D15 G2 cooler
- RAM: Kingston Fury 32GB CL36, 6000MT/s
- PSU: ASUS ROG Loki 1200W Titanium
- Motherboard: GIGABYTE X870E A Elite WIFI
Thanks for any advice!

No worries at all! PCIe 4.0 and 5.0 are designed to be forwards and backwards compatible, so your GPU will work just fine with your build! You shouldn't see any issues like FPS drops or stuttering just because of the PCIe version.
Just curious, what’s the main goal for your build? If you're mostly gaming, I'd suggest checking if the 7900XTX is the best fit for your needs. It seems like quite a high-end choice unless you specifically need the extra VRAM for 4K gaming without upscaling or ray tracing. Also, your PSU seems a bit over the top; a 1000W would usually suffice for gaming setups! I’d recommend considering good airflow with your case too; maybe think about liquid cooling if you plan on pushing that CPU hard. Just a thought, though, I know liquid cooling can be a bit daunting!
My main focus is definitely gaming, and I'm planning to use it with a 4K monitor. Should I switch to a 9070XT instead? I’ve got the D9000 airflow case with a bunch of fans, but I’m still wary about liquid cooling because I've heard bad stories.

Thanks for clarifying! So, it's all good to go without any performance hiccups? That reassures me!
