My Asus TUF Gaming Laptop’s Wifi Adapter Isn’t Working – Need Help!

I'm experiencing issues with the Wifi adapter on my Asus TUF Gaming F15 laptop. Here's a bit of context:

- **Model**: ASUS TUF Gaming F15 FX506HC
- **Storage**: 512GB SSD
- **CPU**: Intel i5 11400H (2.70GHz)
- **GPU**: RTX 3050 Mobile (4GB)
- **RAM**: 8GB (3200 MT/s)
- **Wifi Adapter**: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz

Currently, my device status indicates that Windows has stopped this device (error code 43). Most of the event logs mention that the "Device Requires Further Installation."

This issue seems to be software-related, but I also wonder if there could be a physical problem since I've noticed that the '0' and '9' keys on my keyboard aren't functioning either. I've used this laptop for about three years, and it worked perfectly for the first year and a half. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks for your help!

It sounds like you might have a short somewhere, or the Wifi adapter could be malfunctioning as it ages. Keyboards can wear down over time, just like other hardware—especially on laptops. You might want to consider checking for physical damage or even replacing the adapter if it’s consistently failing.

Is this a common issue then? If so, do you think an external Wifi adapter is the best way to go?

Have you tried downloading the latest drivers directly from Intel's website? They often update their software to fix issues. Doing a clean installation of the drivers might help, but it seems you’ve already attempted that without a long-term fix. Sounds frustrating!

Yes, I’ve tried that. Reinstalling drivers helps for a little while, but then it stops working again.
