I'm currently using a GeForce 3060 Ti with a Ryzen 5 3600, mainly playing Valorant, but I'm not satisfied with my FPS. I'm considering upgrading to a Ryzen 7 5700X, but I'm curious whether it would be better than the Ryzen 5 5600X. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

The 5600 and 5700X are both solid options for gaming. An upgrade from the 3600 definitely helps, but keep in mind that your 3060 Ti might be the limiting factor for performance. Even with a better CPU, you might not see huge improvements unless you're gaming at higher resolutions.
For Valorant, both the 5700X and 5600X will perform about the same; the difference between 6 cores and 8 cores really doesn't impact gameplay much here.
When comparing the 5600 and 5700X, if the 5600X is much cheaper, it might not be worth getting the 5700X since they're both going to give you almost the same FPS in most scenarios. Just make sure the CPU fits your budget!

Thanks for the input! I've seen others with older GPUs getting better FPS than me, so I'm a bit confused.
