Scrimba is great for grasping the basics—those interactive videos are super engaging! However, if you want to dive deep into backend in 2026, it might skim over some of the more complex server topics. It's fantastic for quickly getting up to speed with Node, but I suggest complementing it with something like Boot.dev to cover tougher computer science concepts. It's a good value for money, though!
If you're looking for focused backend learning, Boot.dev might be a better fit; it really hones in on backend skills. I'm currently going through the TypeScript Dev path myself and enjoying it, but I waited for a sale since it's a bit pricey.
