I'm thinking about switching from a 32" 4K UHD monitor to a 32" 1440p OLED. Would this be considered an upgrade, or would it be better to stick with a 4K OLED, even if it's a bit pricier?

For a 32" screen, I’d choose 4K personally. But if you’re set on 1440p, I think 27" is the sweet spot. I switched back from 4K to a 1440p OLED and honestly didn’t miss the 4K once I got used to it.
Consider getting a 4K mini LED or waiting for the new 5K2K monitors. If you have an NVIDIA card, G-Sync pulsar monitors look awesome and could future-proof you for smoother gameplay.

Performance-wise, going 1440p would likely improve your FPS since you're hitting a higher refresh rate. But visually, some detail might be lost compared to 4K.
I made the switch from a 32" 4K OLED to a 32" 1440p Mini LED. It wasn’t a bad experience at all. The 1440p is more efficient, which saved me from dealing with complex frame generation setups.
If your GPU can handle 4K, I’d lean towards 1440p OLED since they’ve improved a lot with no burn-in issues. Just remember, larger screens tend to benefit more from 4K for sharper images.
Whether it's an upgrade really depends on personal preference. There's no definite answer here.

Are you sure they don’t have burn-in problems anymore?
