What Are the Best Devices to Remotely Control Power for a Gateway?

Hey everyone! I'm dealing with this old analog FXS gateway that we use for our fax lines, and it has a tendency to freeze up. The only fix is to unplug the power and plug it back in since it doesn't have a power button. I'm looking for recommendations on a reliable device that I can plug my gateway into so I can either reboot it remotely or set it to automatically power cycle at specific times, like every night at midnight. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Have you thought about switching to an eFax provider like Concord? It's something to consider for the future.

TP-Link smart plugs are around $15 on Amazon. They can be set on a schedule or manually controlled, and they work really well as long as your Wi-Fi is up!

For something simple, a $7 smart plug from Walmart works great! You can cut power at 3 AM and restore it at 3:01 AM. It's a low-cost solution that might do the trick.

Thanks for the tip! That sounds like an easy option.

Also check out the WattBox! It's another solid option for remote power control.

You might want to consider a networked power distribution unit (PDU). They're designed for remote management of power for devices like yours, and they should fit your needs perfectly.
