Hey everyone! I've been using Windows for a long time, but with Windows 10 ending its support (unless you pay), and my laptop not being able to handle Windows 11, I'm exploring my options. I've heard a lot about Linux, but I don't know much aside from the fact that people say it has a steep learning curve and requires some coding knowledge. I'm really intrigued by the customization Linux offers, especially with desktop environments like GNOME and KDE. My question is: how difficult would it be for someone like me, who's not tech-savvy or familiar with coding, to switch to Linux using online tutorials?

Not all Linux versions require a steep learning curve! For instance, I'm using Linux Mint with the Cinnamon desktop, and I haven't had to use the terminal for anything. Everything is pretty much plug and play - just like Windows. It's mainly the more complex distributions that require terminal commands. So, if you're looking for something user-friendly, Mint would be a great start.
Thanks for the tip! What about games and apps from Windows? Can I still use them on Linux?
