Hey everyone! I'm new here and have been thinking about moving away from Microsoft mostly due to privacy concerns. I'm curious if Linux is a solid alternative for this and which version would offer the best security. I haven't done a lot of research yet, but I figured asking here is a good start. Also, I currently have a Lenovo Thinkpad and plan to upgrade soon. Do you think my laptop can handle the shift from Windows, or should I wait until I upgrade before making the change? Thanks a ton for your help! 🙂

I recommend starting with Linux Mint. It's secure, stable, and has a user-friendly interface, which should help with the transition from Windows. It requires minimal terminal use, but learning the basics is worthwhile since it's pretty fun!
