Is Switching to Linux Worth It if I Love Gaming?

I've been struggling to decide whether to stick with Windows or switch back to Linux after bouncing between the two for over six months. I really want to use Linux for productivity and programming, but my love for gaming keeps pulling me back to Windows. I've tried various Linux distros like Ubuntu, POP OS, Fedora, and even Arch (in a VM), but I still feel confused. I know I could dual boot, but I'm short on storage and worried that a Windows update might mess things up. I'm considering moving to EndeavourOS, but I could use some advice. What should I do?

What games do you play? I've had a great experience gaming on Linux, and sometimes the performance can actually be better than on Windows! It might be worth looking into compatibility for the titles you're interested in.

Have you thought about why dual booting is an issue? Generally, you're not likely to lose your Linux setup because of a Windows update. A bit of space might seem tight, but it's good to know you can manage both if needed!

Sounds like your main focus is gaming, which could be tricky on Linux. Have you checked if the games you play are supported? Steam and Proton work well for many titles, but if gaming is your priority, sticking with Windows—and maybe running Linux in a VM for productivity—could be a solid plan.
