I built a PC for my son using a Ryzen 5600G, and I paired it with a GeForce RTX 3060. I also recently built my own PC using a Ryzen 5600, but I used a GeForce RTX 3050. I'm thinking about swapping the GPUs between our systems. I've heard that the 5600G might not fully utilize the 3060's capabilities, so I'm curious if giving him the 3050 would improve his gaming experience.

The 3050 is definitely a step down from the 3060, so swapping won’t boost performance. The Ryzen 5600G can utilize the 3060 just fine, so you shouldn’t worry about that.
To check if he's getting the most out of the GPU, just monitor the GPU usage during gaming sessions. If it's close to 100%, he's tapping into the full potential of the 3060! Otherwise, you might see that he doesn’t need to upgrade.
It really depends on the games you're playing and the resolution. For titles like Roblox and some casual gaming, the difference might be minimal. But if he's running GTA or Rocket League, the 3060 will perform better overall.

He mostly plays Rocket League and Roblox. Do you think the 2050 would do for him if he needs something cheaper?
