Is the 5060 Ti Worth It for Gaming?

Hey everyone! I'm a bit of a newbie and I'm trying to figure out whether the 5060 Ti would be a good upgrade for my gaming setup. Right now, I have an RTX 4060 paired with an Intel i7-12700KF and 32GB of RAM. My biggest issue seems to be with the VRAM since I mainly play games like Helldivers 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds on a 1080p 60Hz monitor. I'm hoping to achieve solid 60fps at medium or high settings with DLSS enabled. I found this card online, but there's a lot of confusion over whether it has 8GB or 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM. Some reviews say 8GB, while others say 16GB. Can anyone clarify this for me?

You should be able to hit 60fps on 1080p with your current setup! It sounds like there's something else going on since a 4060 can usually manage that unless you're cranking settings way up or using ray tracing.

Yeah, I agree! Most games should run smoothly on 1080p, especially if you're not maxing everything out with ultra settings.

Thanks! That's reassuring to hear. I haven't tweaked settings much, so I'll check them out!

The 5060 Ti definitely comes in both 8GB and 16GB variants. If you're looking for an upgrade, get the 16GB version because the 8GB will likely not hold up over time. Make sure you double-check before purchasing since it's easy to accidentally grab the wrong one!

Good to know! I’m definitely leaning towards the 16GB now. Thanks for the heads up!

If you're set on gaming at 1080p, the 5060 Ti 16GB is a solid choice. It should handle most games well considering the VRAM. Just be wary of pricing—make sure not to overpay for the 8GB version.

Definitely! I’ve seen some steep prices online, so I’ll shop around for the best deal.

Honestly, even if you get the 16GB card, know that some games like Monster Hunter Wilds can be really unoptimized. It's not always just about the VRAM; sometimes the game's performance is the issue itself.

Exactly. MHW has had tons of performance issues. You're going to need a decent GPU to tackle that and get stable 60fps.
