I found someone on Facebook Marketplace selling a 5070 for $500. This seller upgraded but decided the performance boost wasn't significant enough to warrant the change from their current GPU, and now they're past the return window. I know the 5070 typically retails for over $549, which isn't great value, but do you think it's worth picking up at this lower price?

Somehow, people have the wrong idea about the 5070. I'd say it’s almost like a 4070 super, just less pricey and with extra features. I really dig mine!
Honestly, at $500, the 5070 is a solid deal. Even at its regular price of $550, it competes well with other GPUs on the market. So getting it for even less is pretty great.
If you’re upgrading from anything below a 3060, $500 for the 5070 is a solid choice. If you're still rocking a 3070 ti, it might be close, but worth it based on your target resolution and framerate since that card only has 8GB.
I get that, but the concern is how fast it starts lagging with new games. It’s tough to invest in a card that might force you to lower settings in a year or two, especially with cheaper 4K monitors coming out.
