I'm considering an upgrade from my Ryzen 3600X to either the 5700X3D or the 5800X3D. Building a completely new PC with AM5 components feels unreasonable to me since I don't game as much as I used to. I'm mainly looking forward to playing games like Borderlands 4 and GTA 6 when they release. Given that I'm sticking with my existing AM4 setup, would swapping in one of the 5000 series X3D CPUs still be a good option in 2025? Also, I'm planning to upgrade my GPU from a 2070 to something like a 9070 or 9070XT. Any advice would be great, thanks!

Honestly, both the 5700X3D and 5800X3D are hard to find at decent prices since they're out of production, and the price tags are pretty steep. It really boils down to what deal you can snag. If you can find a good price, it might still be worth it for 2025.
I found a 5700X3D (tray) locally for around $233. Seems like a decent option!
