I'm considering building a new PC and I want to know if the AMD Radeon 6800 XT is still a solid option for 1440p gaming in 2025. Seems like it's been around a bit, but I'd love to hear thoughts on its performance with modern games. Any advice?

If you can snag one for around $200 to $300, the 6800 XT is definitely worth it! Just keep in mind prices may vary, so shop around and see what you can find.
Absolutely, the 6800 XT is still a beast! If you can get one used for around $360 or less, it's worth every penny. The performance is on par with the 4070 for most games, especially at 1440p.
Seriously, I was shocked when I got mine for $300. It runs everything smoothly, even though ray tracing isn't its strong suit.
For the right price, the 6800 XT is still a great choice. Just be wary if you're into ray tracing—those features may not perform the best on this card. For raster performance at 1440p though, it’s perfect!
Exactly! Just keep your expectations in check with new titles that require more power. It's still a solid card for most gaming scenarios.
The 6800 XT is still an excellent card for 1440p gaming. I have a 6700 XT myself, and it handles almost everything quite well at high settings. I think the 6800 XT can manage similar performance, if not better.
Totally agree! I've been using my 6750 XT and it's been solid so far. Just make sure your build has an AM5 platform for some future-proofing!
I'd say it really depends on pricing. If the 6800 XT is close to the 9060 XT, then I'd lean toward that since it might handle newer games better with its 12GB VRAM.
But for older titles or less demanding games, the 6800 XT still does great. It can push a solid FPS at 1440p!
Yeah, but good luck finding them at that price. A lot of folks are asking $400-$450 since it competes closely with the 7800 XT.
