I've run into some trouble with my current CPU, the 3700X, since two of its cores are damaged, leading to constant bluescreens. So now I'm looking to upgrade. I've found a $500 deal on the 7800X3D, and a $700 deal for the 9800X3D. From what I've gathered, the 9800X3D offers a performance boost of around 5% to 20%, especially in Counter Strike, which is my main game. I'm debating whether the extra $200 is worth it, or if I should just go with the cheaper option and put the savings towards more RAM or other upgrades. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this before making a decision. Thanks in advance!

If you game at higher resolutions, like 1440p or above, I’d suggest sticking with the 7800X3D. You're likely to save some cash without sacrificing much performance, especially if you’re on a 3070Ti.
That's a solid point! I didn't really consider how my GPU might impact the performance gains I could see.
