Is the 9070 XT a Good Upgrade from the 6700 XT for 1440p Gaming?

I currently own a 6700 XT, and while it performed well at 1080p, I've recently upgraded to a 1440p ultrawide monitor. Unfortunately, my gaming experience hasn't been as smooth as I'd hoped—especially in Battlefield 6, where my frame rate drops between 70-85 FPS and occasionally hits 110 FPS. I'm looking for advice on what graphics card to upgrade to while keeping my budget under $1,000. I would love to achieve a consistent 180 FPS in Battlefield 6 and at least 80-100 FPS in Oblivion Remastered on high settings. The 9070 XT is within my budget, but I'm unsure if it's worth it or if it will meet my needs. I also prefer AMD due to their price-to-performance ratio and want a card that supports FSR 4. Here are my current specs:

- GPU: 6700 XT
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5800 XT
- RAM: 16 GB 3600 MHz (currently underclocked to 3200 MHz)
- Motherboard: Asus B350M-A

Additionally, I found a 5070 TI for $750—should I buy that instead? I've read it performs similarly to the 9070 XT in some games. I appreciate any insights!

I recently got the 9070 XT, and it's phenomenal! If you can snag it for a good price, I say go for it; just keep in mind you may also need to upgrade your other components to prevent bottlenecks. Good luck!

Yeah, I've been meaning to upgrade my motherboard for a while myself. I definitely want to switch to AM5, but that’ll mean a whole new setup with CPU, RAM, and motherboard, which is a bummer. By the way, how much did you pay for yours? Best Buy has them for around $720.
