I'm helping my friend put together a budget PC, and he's currently using a B450M BAZOOKA Max WIFI motherboard. I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading to a B550M, or if the B450M is still sufficient for what he needs. Any insights would be appreciated!

Yes, the B450M boards are still quite capable. The main downside is that they don't support PCIe 4.0, but for most graphics cards, this isn't a big issue. The board should work well for a budget build as long as you're not planning on super high-end components.
Totally usable! I just updated my kid's B450 to support a Ryzen 5700X and it's working great with a 4060 Ti. PCIe 4.0 isn't necessary for gaming performance, especially at 1080p. It's a solid choice for a budget setup.

What if I get a 4060 or 4070 though?
