Is the Claude $100 Max Plan Worth It for Heavy Users?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about switching to the $100 Max plan for Claude because I rely heavily on Claude Code and Cursor for my daily tasks. Right now, my $20 Cursor plan is set to expire in two weeks, and I'm usually spending between $70 and $80 a month on Cursor and about $40 on Claude Code through the API. Given this situation, do you think the Max plan would be beneficial for me? Also, I'm curious about the real-life rate limits when using Claude Code with the Max plan. Additionally, since I'm part of the Developer Partner program that offers discounts on API use, will these discounts also apply if I opt for the Max plan? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve been using Claude Code since late May, and I run it about 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. I’ve tracked my usage, and I’ve generated around 1.2 billion tokens — which would have cost me about $2,500 if I was using the API. So, yes, it’s definitely the best value right now!

Curious to hear more about your work and tech stack. Are you on the $200/month plan?

The developer discount is an opt-in option and only applies to API costs, which aren't included in the plans. But seriously, go for the Max plan — you won’t regret it. Claude Code is the best coding tool out there!

Not a word of a lie. Max is great value.
