I'm curious about people's experiences using the Pro plan with Claude Code. I typically work on small projects and have just a few minor requests each day—nothing too demanding. How much basic usage can I get from this plan? Is it worth it for my daily coding needs?

It's fantastic! I've got it integrated with VS Code, and it really works wonders. I’m not a pro coder, but I’ve already managed to whip up some decent microsaas MVPs with Claude and some other online resources. I loaded a saas boilerplate in VS Code, asked Claude for changes, and after 6-8 hours of prompts, I had something good—though I need to take an hour break due to some fair usage policy. I used to do this with ChatGPT Pro, but that one slows down a lot as the chat gets longer.
For my experience, it's a bit of a waiting game—like an hour of coding followed by three hours of waiting for the usage to reset. But I’m using it for simpler tasks, like making a page responsive or tweaking tables, so I don't think I'll hit the limits as much as others might. Thanks for the insights!
I've been using it primarily for writing documentation lately. I've hit the limit pretty frequently, so I have to wait a bit before I can use it again. I haven’t tried coding with it yet, though.
The Claude Pro plan should be enough for what you do. I was working on a small project and was almost done before hitting the limits, but that's more intensive than just a few daily requests. For small projects and occasional coding, you probably won't even scratch the surface of what Pro can handle. Definitely worth it for daily coding! But just keep in mind, larger projects might quickly hit limits.
Perfect, this sounds great! Exactly the type of feedback I needed. Thank you!
Does that limit reset every five hours by any chance?
I've got a moderately large project going, and honestly, I hardly ever hit the usage limits. I dive in every day, and I'm usually just getting tired before I reach the cap!
Same here! I was thinking about upgrading as well, but so far, I haven’t hit any limits. Seems manageable for now!
Awesome, thanks for sharing! I'm really interested in real-world experiences regarding usage limits.
Glad to hear! I'm only using it for straightforward tasks too, and it's good to know I might not run into limits often.
