Is the gap between my fans and radiator normal?

I recently swapped out the fans on my Liquid Freezer III 360 for Phanteks D30 120mm ones to sync with the rest of my case. I've noticed there's a small gap between the fans and the radiator. After running Cinebench on my 9800X3D, the temperatures hit 88-90°C, which feels pretty high. I plan to reapply thermal paste, but I'm also concerned about the gap between the fans and the radiator. Here's a link to an image showing the setup: https://imgur.com/a/1x11L4k

Honestly, 88-90°C is on the higher side, but it shouldn’t be alarming. Airflow can be tricky. The fans might not be pushing enough air through the radiator properly due to that gap. You could try sealing it up to improve performance, but testing with the stock fans first is a good call. Just a reminder that different fan designs work better for certain setups.

Congrats on stress testing your CPU! It’s pretty normal for temps to rise under Cinebench. Just keep in mind that high temps can happen during intensive tasks like this, and it's not uncommon.

I just thought my temps might be lower with this AIO. Thanks for the reassurance!
