Is the GTX 1080 Ti Still a Great Choice for a Budget PC?

I'm looking to upgrade from my Dell G5 5500 laptop and found a decent second-hand setup that might work for me. The specs include an Intel Core i5-10400F processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM, and a storage combination of 500GB NVME plus 500GB SSD. It also has a 750W power supply and good cooling based on reviews. The only older component is the GTX 1080 Ti, which is about four years old. I plan to upgrade the RAM to 32GB soon, but I'm wondering if this setup is a solid option for a budget PC, or if I should keep looking for something like the RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, or RX 6700XT. I'm on a limited budget right now, and the second-hand market seems to be my best bet. Any thoughts?

The 1080 Ti is still a solid card for 1080p gaming, and if you're mostly playing indie games or older titles, it should serve you well for a while. I’ve had mine for years, and while it struggles with some newer AAA games with ray tracing, it's still fantastic for what I need it for. If you can find something newer that isn’t much more expensive, it might be worth considering, but I wouldn’t rush to replace it just yet.
